I know I haven’t posted much on my blog lately but it is because I have been working on my sewing. You can check me out @Mssew_itall on instagram and see what I have been up to. In this blog I just want to give a bit of an intro to my next youtube video!
In this video, I talk about the things I wish I would have known when I started sewing 6 years ago. Although I have been sewing for 6 years, I STILL consider myself a beginner. I have JUST recently started getting into more complicated materials, such as fur, which you can see me work on on my InstaStories.
One thing I want to stress is that there is a learning curve with sewing. Terminology for stitching is still confusing to me and sewing straight is NOT as easy as it looks on youtube. If you are thinking about sewing make sure you buy yourself a machine with the stitches you need, you DO NOT need a serger or whatever else the youtubers are using to get started and you don’t need to be super fast at making your items.
You can listen to all of this on my video linked HERE and also see the “unboxing” of my new sewing machine. I go over shopping around and price comparison briefly and show you all the cool little items it came with. I don’t exactly know what everything does BUT it does tell me in the instruction MANUAL which I read AFTER the video (lol).
Enjoy! Please make sure you subscribe and let me know if you would like to see any more of these videos on beginner projects. Also, follow my IG and check out my stories for my FIRST TIME FAUX FUR project!
